Summer Camp Series Pt 1: Fun Necessities

 In Fun

Summer Camp is an exciting event for toddlers, where they get to step out of their homes, and spend time with their friends, all busy with different fun-filled activities. For parents, though, it can get hectic; not only do you have to deal with the anxiety of leaving your child (albeit for a little while!), but you also have to plan for it all.

And we all know how stressful planning can be. You don’t want your toddler missing something important, but you also don’t want them to haul a bunch of things they don’t need! Fortunately, we’ve got a list of necessities to help get you on the right track:

Labels

Whether your child is bringing their own water bottle, lunchbox, or bag for their extra clothes – keep everything labelled with tags. This helps you keep track of what they’re taking and bringing back, and also helps prevent children from losing their belongings.

Spare Clothing

Summer camps have many activities that may be indoors or outdoors. They may go out exploring, or spend the day painting cool critters! In either case, you wouldn’t want dirty clothes getting in the way of their fun, so packing extra clothes for when helps practitioners remain prepared for any accident.

Healthy Snacks

Although some summer camps do give children occasional snacks, it always works well to let them keep some extra if they need it. Make sure its healthy, nut-free, and something they can chew and swallow easily. Gram crackers, biscuits, or slices of fruit are great examples!

Contact With Practitioners

Of course, this isn’t something you have to buy at the store – but its extremely important to keep before and during a summer camp!

Before summer camp season starts, arrange a meeting with the organizing team. Speak to the practitioner – one or many – who will be handling your child when you’re not around, and learn of the event’s itinerary. It’s a great practice to know the activities that will keep your child busy when you’re not there, both for safety and self-satisfactory reasons.

Keep this contact even during summer camp; check in regularly and learn of your child’s progress, so that you understand how well your child can adapt to the outside world.

Nurseries in Dubai Marina may have many summer camp activities to offer, but Oakfield Early Learning Centre keeps everything innovative and exciting. With theme-based tasks and projects, children get to truly enjoy summer. Furthermore, the teachers there make sure parents are well-informed of everything, so that they don’t have to worry about their children being away from their homes – because they know they’re in safe hands.

So, don’t sweat over your child not being in your view 24/7 – let them explore, and they will undoubtedly come back home with many memories!
