Oakfield follows the well-recognised British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, within a fun, supportive and caring environment. Achievement Centre for Children with Special Needs
Oakfield has an Achievement Centre which allows a small intake of children with special needs. Trained practitioners are able to design Individual Educational Plans (IEPs) for our children with additional needs. Parents and practitioners work together to enhance a child’s development at their own pace.
Arabic Language
Additional emphasis is put on learning Arabic. All children above the age of two are exposed to the Arabic language through a full-time specialist Arabic teacher and a dedicated Arabic Room.
Learning Journals
All registered children keep a learning journal that records their achievements and creativity throughout the year. This is accessible to parents and is given to them as a record at the end of the year.
The EYFS Progress Check at Age 2 and Reports
At Oakfield we record children’s interests and achievements through the formal EYFS Progress Check at Age 2 and with reporting at the end of the Autumn (first) and Summer (third) terms.
